The importance of choosing the right tiles for your specific environment cannot be overstated.

Shopping can be stressful with so many options, so we’ve put together some guidelines to help you:
- Remember that your tiled area will form part of your overall design scheme, so plan the entire look in advance.
- The first step is deciding which area you are tiling; walls, floors, wet areas or outdoor use.
- Next, you’ll need to decide on the number of tiles you need. Once you’ve measured the area to be tiled, it makes sense to order about 10% - 15% more which should cover the loss of any tiles that have to be cut, and ensure that replacements are available for the future.
- Note: If the tiles are to be installed on diagonally or in any pattern that will require cutting, more tiles will be needed.
- Consider the area being tiled when deciding on the texture, finish, colour and pattern of your tiles
- Grouting adds another dimension to the overall result, make sure to match this with your chosen style and colour.
