In this light, CTM is very selective in the appointment of its Franchisees. The success of the company depends on the day-to-day commitment and hands on approach of the Franchisee - it is thus a prerequisite that every CTM franchise is run by an owner / manager.
An ideal CTM Franchisee will have a proven entrepreneurial track record and an ability to maximise the market potential of the business.
The franchisee will also display an innate sense of fashion and design.
The candidate must be committed to the long hours required of a retailer and be a passionate hands-on operator, dedicated to a strong service ethic. An ability to motivate staff is important, as is the need to be innovative, proactive and responsive to changing market needs.
As part of a broader organisation, the franchisee must be prepared to uphold the values of the Italtile Group. They must understand the need to adhere to the operating standards of the brand and share in the value that participation in reward and decision making at all levels of an organisation enhances its profitability.
Application will only be considered if the prospective franchisee is prepared to undergo full time, hands-on, in store training for 6-12 months to become thoroughly conversant with the CTM way.
CTM provides support to its franchise network in critical business areas both before and after the opening of the franchise. The Group will assist franchisees in the following key areas: operations; training; distribution; marketing; payroll and information technology. Communication is vital to the organisation and regular conferences and meetings are hosted by the company.
