1. Keep the washer safely to one side when you disconnect so you don't lose
it.
2. If your shower has
been in use for some time, take this opportunity to flush out the inside of
your shower head, or shower handle, as well as clean around the washer and
connections, so you enjoy a smoother flow.
3. Take a moment to check against the illustration that you're inserting the
Pula device the right way.
Pula tip: Use vinegar to clean
lime scale out of your shower head.

How to SAVE WATER indoors:
1. Shower rather than bath - A bath uses up to four times more water than a
quick shower.
2. Put one or two plastic bottles filled with water in your toilet's cistern
- That is, if you don't have a dual-flush toilet. It will take less water to
fill up after every flush.
3. Turn the tap off while you brush your teeth, wash your face, or shave -
You can save up to 9 litres of water every minute. Add a Pula device to your
tap to save more water!
4. Ensure your dishwasher is FULL before you turn it on - Dishwashers use
the same amount of water whether they are full or empty.
5. Use your sink - This will use even less water than a dishwasher.
How to SAVE WATER outdoors:
1. Plant indigenous, drought-resistant plants - These plants require less
water than alien plants.
2. Water your garden wisely - Turn off your irrigation or don't water if
there has been lots of rain. Water at night or in the early morning
(depending on the season and your climatic region) to reduce unnecessary
evaporation.
3. Cover your swimming pool to reduce water evaporation.
4. Check your sprinklers - Don't allow sprinklers to water your street,
driveway or sidewalk. Position them so that water lands on the lawn and
bushes only. Check sprinkler systems and timing devices regularly to be sure
they operate property.
5. Place a bucket in the shower to catch excess water - Use this to water
plants.
